Biography

My research broadly focuses on using solution NMR spectroscopy to investigate the structure, dynamics, and conformational landscape of biomolecules. I am particularly interested in understanding how molecular motions across different timescales contribute to protein function, molecular recognition, and allosteric communication. By combining advanced NMR methods with biophysical and computational approaches, my work seeks to establish connections between biomolecular structure, dynamics, and function. A second area of my research focuses on advancing NMR methodology, particularly field-cycled relaxometry and, more recently, hyperpolarization techniques in solution. Recent breakthroughs in field-cycling technology, together with access to state-of-the-art hardware at NYSBC, provide unique opportunities to probe dynamics over a broader range of timescales than are accessible by conventional measurements. By combining methodological development with biological applications, I hope to expand the capabilities of NMR spectroscopy for studying complex biomolecular systems through collaborative research at the Center.
