Nuclear Magnetic Resonance at NYSBC
We pursue challenging problems in structural biology and materials science using the power of high-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in a facility recognized worldwide for its breadth of instrumentation.
Experienced staff dedicated to providing hands-on-training in data collection are available for consultation on individual projects. The NMR department also houses the NIH National Center on Molecular Dynamics by NMR (CoMD/NMR) which focuses on making NMR methodologies for characterizing protein and nucleic acid conformational dynamics available to the wider biological research community.
NMR Department Personnel:
Director: Arthur G. Palmer III, Ph.D
Manager: Mike Goger, Ph.D
Scientists:
Shibani Bhattacharya, Ph.D. (Solution NMR Specialist)
Eric Keeler, Ph.D. (Solid State NMR Specialist)
