SEMC Applications
The goal of the Simons Electron Microscopy Center is to help researchers elucidate the intermolecular interactions and domain architectures of macromolecules within their native cellular assemblies. The primary methods that are supported are cryo electron microscopy (cryoEM) for both single particle analysis and cryo electron tomography. An excellent review of the current state of the field is by Helen Saibil. SEMC provides expertise and instrumentation for each phase of the project from specimen preparation through data collection and data processing.
